Audio training
Listen, say it out loud and learn Korean phrases
Follow the Japanese guidance to hear a Korean conversation, recall it and say it out loud. SUDA's audio training is a hands-free lesson you can follow without looking at the screen, so you can learn Korean conversation by ear while doing chores or on the move.
Highlights
Guided in Japanese
Japanese guidance tells you what to do next and what the Korean means, so you will not get lost even on your first lesson.
No need to look at the screen
Just listen, think and speak. Each lesson takes about 15 minutes, so it fits into chores, commutes or walks.
Master a whole conversation
Each lesson is one conversation. You build it up from short phrases until you can play both roles.
How it works
-
Choose a lesson
Open the lesson list from "Audio" in the study menu on the home screen.
-
Listen to the conversation
The lesson starts with the situation and goal, then plays the whole conversation.
-
Learn one sentence at a time
Each sentence is built up from short phrases that you say out loud, then recalled several times after short gaps.
-
Listening and role-play
Finish with a listening exercise where you work out the meaning, and a role-play where you play the parts.
In detail
Listen, recall, say it out loud
Audio training helps you learn Korean phrases by repeating “listen, recall, say it”. The guide asks “Try saying this” or “How do you say … in Korean?”, and you recall it during a short pause and say it out loud.
Because you recall and say it yourself instead of just listening, the phrases stay with you in a form you can use in conversation. The Korean conversations and phrases are checked by people.
How a lesson works
Each lesson is about 15 minutes and covers one conversation.
- Introduction: After the situation and goal, you hear the whole conversation.
- One sentence at a time: Each sentence is built up from the short phrases at its end, said out loud, then recalled several times after short gaps, with reviews of earlier sentences in between.
- Listening: Hear Korean, think “What does it mean?”, then check the answer in Japanese.
- Role-play: Play both parts of the conversation, first with hints and then without.
- Wrap-up: Hear the whole conversation again and review.
About half of each lesson is pauses, so you have time to speak. You never feel rushed and can move your mouth at your own pace.
Fits into chores and commutes
The hardest part of learning Korean is keeping it up every day. Audio training does not need your eyes on the screen, so you can keep going while cooking, cleaning, commuting or walking.
Downloaded lessons play without a connection, so you can listen on the subway or a plane.
Train listening and pronunciation together
You hear the Korean audio many times and immediately imitate it, so you practice listening and pronunciation at the same time. Listening exercises give you time to work out the meaning, which also helps you understand Korean without translating in your head.
Combine with conversation and grammar
Try the phrases you learned in AI conversation. To organize how sentences are built, practice translation in grammar training so you can adapt the phrases you learned.
